Connective Tissues

Connective Tissues

Starting with connective tissue, connective tissue is lightly populated by cells and contains a wide-ranging extracellular matrix consisting of protein fibers, glycoproteins, and proteoglycans. The function of the connective tissue is to provide protection, support, connection, transportation, storage, and the skeleton as a mechanical support for the body. Examples of the connective tissues are blood, fat, tendons, bone, and cartridges. Some characteristics of the connective tissue are the cells are scattered and have a variety of types or shapes. There is a large extracellular matrix which is composed of fibers and ground substances. The connective tissue can be divided up into three different categories- fluid, proper, and supportive. Dense connective tissues contains many fibers packed into interstitial space. There is either regular or irregular connective tissues. Regular is where the fibers run parallel to each other while irregular or “not regular” is where the fibers run random and not in any order. Please let me know what you know about the connective tissues 😊

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Prep time is close to 5 minutes
Cook time is around 10 minutes
Ready time should be about 10 – 15 minutes depending on when it needs to cool off.

These ingredients are required to make the Asian Beef with Snow Peas recipe
• 3 tablespoons soy sauce
• 2 tablespoons rice wine
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root
• 1 tablespoon minced garlic
• 1-pound beef round steak, cut into thin strips
• 8 ounces snow peas

In a small bowl, you will want to combine the soy sauce, rice wine, brown sugar and cornstarch. After these items are combined set the small bowl aside.

Next heat the oil in a skillet over medium to high heat. Be sure to stir-fry the ginger and the garlic for about 25-30 seconds or longer if necessary.

Then add the steak and stir-fry for around 2 – 3 minutes or until the meat is all the way brown through the middle.

Add the snow peas and stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes or longer if necessary. When done, mix the soy sauce blend in and bring to a boil while stirring constantly.

Lower the heat and simmer until the sauce is thick and ready to eat. Enjoy your meal!

Please let me know how you liked this recipe, it was one of my favorites!

Stages of Pregnancy

“Stages of Pregnancy”

I’m sure everyone reading this, if not everyone who has hit puberty knows how to get or get someone pregnant. However does anyone know what happens after the deed is done? I am going to help you get a better understanding about how pregnancy works.
So know that the egg has collided with the sperm and attached to the uterus what happens now?

First Trimester

First day of pregnancy till 12 weeks is considered the first trimester. Usually around weeks 4-6 you find out you’re pregnant (YAY) During the 12 weeks the nervous system, heart, face, arms, legs, sexual organs, and muscle movement is formed in the baby. During week 5 baby is size of an Appleseed and by week 12 your baby is the size of a plum. You will be feeling morning sickness and maybe super emotional. Now to the next!

Second Trimester

The second trimester is 13 to 27 Weeks. The baby gets defined fingers, toes, also the eyelid eyebrows, eyelashes, nails, and hair form along with feelings the babies first kicks. Mom and dad will be learning the gender (if that’s what they choose). At 13 weeks the baby is the size of a pea Pod at 27 weeks the baby is the size of a cauliflower. Moms morning sickness will subside, and emotions will not be as bad as the first trimester.

Third Trimester

The final stages of pregnancy! From 28 weeks to 40 weeks. The baby is a size of a large egg plant at 28 weeks, and at 40 weeks a size of a small pumpkin. The babies eye can now open, he/she can since light, gaining weight, kicks and stretches. Maybe mom and dad will want to take a parenting class.
Well hopefully I have educated some people of what growing a baby inside of you is like. Pregnancy is not easy, and the baby is growing at an astounding amount in the 40 weeks. Please take conscious in being careful while pregnant. Please let me know how your pregnancy was in the comments 😊
