How To Find your Niche!

Finding your niche!!

I can help you find your niche!!

When I started my blog my blog I thought “I’m going to make my blog about beauty, hair products, fashion, and makeup. Anything to do with beauty, you name it I’m going to blog about it!!”

How I Found My Niche

I laugh about it because I was SO WRONG. Instead, I find myself blogging about my everyday life. Now my everyday life does include makeup, hair and beauty products but that’s not what I’m passionate about. I’m passionate about finding fun activities to do with my son. Getting to spend the time I do with him playing with his toys, making jokes that crack him up and giving him tickle attacks. Being able to go online find cool activities or recipes I know he will enjoy making is my main and favorite part of the day. I look back and laugh because even though being a beauty blogger would be fun, I found more joy out of blogging about being a mom.

My advice when trying to find your niche is to do something you are passionate about. Sure, you may like fashion and beauty but what is it that you do every day? It may be kind of hard to blog about something you do not do on a regular basis. Or it may not be hard at all! Everyone is different, however, I found it easier to write about the activities I’ve done with my son through the day instead of about beauty products I haven’t even tried.

An example, boyfriend Colton is a nerd, not just any nerd but a HUGE NERD. He loves anything and everything that involves games, so I helped create a blog about games. He loves writing about games, and many times he finds himself writing late into the night because he is so into his blog. Find something you are passionate about and run with it! I hope I have helped you find what niche will work best for you. Let me know in the comments what your niche is!!

National Frozen Yogurt Day

I love frozen yogurt. I hope your frozen yogurt day is as deliciously filled with mine. One of our favorite places to hang out is Cherry Berry. Have you ever heard of Cherry Berry? It’s delicious and completely made of frozen yogurt. Along with frozen yogurt, I love ice cream. Just hearing bluebell ice cream makes my mouth water, however, the calories that come along with it aren’t my favorite. Only being 23 I feel like being in my prime I need to stay in shape. So, I will pick frozen yogurt any day over ice cream.

Cherry Berry is located right by laser tag, and the mall making it super convenient to stop by when we take the kiddos out for “fun night” usually Friday. Cherry Berry has three different cups you can choose from; small, medium and large. There are many choices to choose from when it comes to what flavor of frozen yogurt you would like. My favorite is the birthday cake or country vanilla. My sons favorite is mixing chocolate with vanilla. After the frozen yogurt, there are many choices to skittle, sprinkles, m and m, fruity pebbles, gummy bears, gummy worms, different assortment of fruits, cookie dough balls, and much more. I’m sure if you could dream it they have it.

I’m anxious to hear what your opinion is!!

My honest opinion about the Soft and Care Cushion Set

My honest opinion of the Soft and Care Cushion Set

We all have that favorite chair. It’s usually the one that’s the newest and the cushions haven’t been sat on for so much that it remembers you more than you’d like it to. Especially at work. You finally get that new chair and it sits great for like 3-4 months. Then you start noticing your back and bum hurting again because its no longer has the cushion to support them. I’ve been there. Working in the office 8-5 spending most of my day in a single chair, you at least want to be comfortable and not get up without hurting. Thankfully I got my soft and care cushion set to office chair back in place I enjoy sitting at. When I started using the soft and care I immediately noticed the back support. The lower back pain that came from sitting effectively on plastic was no longer there. And when I got up my rear end no longer hurt. The memory foam really makes it comfortable to sit for hours on end and not feel like that when I get up.

Unlike my previous seat paddings which were usually some form of leather, the breathable material in the case keeps it so I don’t sweat the pressure that comes from sitting for long periods. The iPhone or mp3 slip on the back piece makes it easy for me to listen to my music without having the cords stretch across my hands and keyboard, interrupting my typing. And with the straps, I can clip it all together and take it with me on trips. Adding the soft and care cushions immediately upgrades any seat into that perfect feeling chair. If you’re having back and bum pains from sitting hours on end in an uncomfortable chair, I highly recommend you get soft and care cushion. Sitting down will no longer be a dreaded experience.

Tips for Saving Money on a College Budget. Every Penny Counts!

College can be very financially straining especially if you’re getting little to no aid from anything or anyone else. College savings can be hard, let me help you! Scraping enough up for tuition, books, rent, and other bills are hard enough, not to mention eating. But worry not, currently going to college and successfully navigated the monetary perils it presents I can help save you from the ramen noodle plague that so many others have caught. Here are my top money saving ideas when eating on a college budget.

Little Caesars Pizza $5 Hot and Ready

Everyone eats enough pizza in college to be sick of it their entire life. Said no one ever. And when trying to find bargain deals this is one stand above the rest. A $5 Hot and Ready when spread out can easily feed someone for 3-4 meals. That’s like $1.25 a meal. That’s a bargain deal. The trick to microwaving the pizza after it’s been fridged is wetting a paper towel and covering the pizza in it before microwaving. This will leave it most and still very much delicious.

Any Chinese Kitchen

Asian food. That’s original right when talking about college food. Chinese Kitchen though is one of those places that load up on the fried rice or noodles with heaping helpings of your desired meat. It’s your prototypical Asian food: grease and delicious. On overage, you’ll get around 3 meals for this and usually runs you around $12. That averages out to be $4 a meal which isn’t too bad. To really maximize your dollar, make your meat one of the many types of chicken. Chicken is cheaper so normally you’ll get more.

Dollar Menus

We got there. The all mighty dollar menu. Once it started, every fast-food chain had to have one. This is great for the consumer, especially the hungry college student. If your hungry for burgers you’ve got McDonalds or Jack in the Box. If you’re craving Mexican food you’ve got Taco Bell. Got the munchies, need to save a buck, and be healthy, Wendy’s wraps are a great choice. Really the dollar menu is a college kids best friend.

The hardest thing to do while eating on a budget for fast food is eaten healthy. Healthy food is expensive. But even there’s even an option that in a sense, is healthy. Subway is that answer. Depending on how much TV you watched when you were younger you probably saw the Jarred commercials where gentlemen lost a large amount of weight substituting subway lower calorie sandwiches for a meal. Great for him right? Well, it’s great for the college kid too. Many subways have the $5 footlong for select sandwiches. Load one of these up with your favorite veggies, split it into two 6” and you get two meals for $2.50 each.

Easy to cook Noodles

Yeah. The college kid can never escape the all mighty ramen noodle. Well, maybe we can. There are several instant noodle mixes that average out to be about a dollar a piece that is delicious and have a hint of nutritional value. Go down to your local Asian market and pick up a couple different types from different countries. Figure out which ones you like and have a variety on hand for those late-night study times and midnight snacks.
Don’t let college be the years where you starved yourself of food to make ends meet. There are lots of ways to survive and still eat a decent variety of food. Of course, there’s always to option to cook at home but what college student has time for that?
